- Joannie Garner is awesome. In this episode, Aimee has an uplifting talk with Mom to two teens and author of the new book, Wild Joy. In Wild Joy, Joannie Garner talks about her journey where she learned to survive, overcome and thrive. Joannie lost her own Mom when she was 12 to suicide. She was only 30 Years old. As you can imagine, this loss changed the direction of her life. She didn't think she could be a mother, yet at 30 years old she found herself pregnant with lots of fear surrounding her coming new role as a Mother. Today Joannie's kids are 17 and 18 years old.
